由Carlos Ferrater和Xavier Marti一起完成的AA住宅是最近出现的、最独特和最强烈的独栋家庭住宅。它与由Louis Khan, Alison和Peter Smithson、 Ray 和 Charles Eames设计建造的住宅之间建立了一种关系。项目坐落在圣库加特，挨着一片森林，并毗邻着一个高尔夫球场，住宅从路面拔地而起，它那一系列的斜坡屋顶在花园的树木若隐若现，这形成了一条风景如画的、壮丽的带子。

进入住宅的时候会看到一个水池，这象征着四元素之一的水元素，并会萌生出一种反射的愿望。在进入住宅之后会看到一个完全没有装饰的露天区域。而且在进入之后你会发现一个极好的纵向空间，它被斜坡屋顶上的天窗照亮着。这个极好的室内空间是按照完美的人类尺度设计的。项目的一个独特而又不安定的特色是住宅中仿佛没有楼梯一样，而且住宅中的服务设施没有一个是看得见的，所有的设施都被隐藏在了较低的楼层中，这引导着我们去相信这不是一栋住宅，而是别的东西。

AA House by Carlos Ferrater and Xavier Marti is one of the most unique and intense single-family homes that has been built in recent times. It establishes a relationship with houses by Louis Khan, Alison and Peter Smithson, and Ray and Charles Eames.Located in Sant Cugat, next to a forest bordering a golf course, the house rises from the road as a series of sloping roofs among the trees in the garden that form a magnificent belt of picturesque scenery.

On entering, the house greets us with a pool of water, an allegory of one of the four elements and born of a desire for reflections. Before entering, a totally austere plaza is defined. And upon entering, you discover a great longitudinal space, defined by skylights in the sloping roof. This great interior space is at once perfectly on a human scale.The unique and unsettling fact that there appears to be no staircase and that none of the service facilities of the house are visible, all hidden away on a lower floor, leads us to believe this is not a house but something else.
